FIELD WORKER (FT/PT)

This is a full or part season position May until November. Ability to lift #50 required. Position requires capacity to deal with inclement weather and long periods of sustained physical labor.

  • Plants, maintains and harvests a variety of vegetable crops in the field and greenhouse
  • Communicates with staff on daily basis for labor needs  (planting, weed control and harvest)
  • Maintains a safe working environment for self around equipment, tools and weather.
  • Manages harvest schedule and logs as appropriate
  • Completes daily harvest of required needs and transports to wash house in timely manner to be cleaned and prepared for sale
  • Cleans and cares for all tools and supplies related to position on a daily basis
  • Works as needed to complete tasks around farm
  • Manages required supplies relevant to job (seed, plastic, tools etc)
  • Provides support in Pack-House as required.
  • Has working familiarity of different types of crops
  • Performs any other task related to the operation of the farm.

GREENHOUSE MANAGER (year round)

This position is integral to the operation of our farm. This is a year round position.  A key position that requires fast learning and self-motivation. Ideal candidate will have previous experience working on an organic vegetable farm and is ready for more responsibility, ability to be a decision-maker, and to participate in farm direction. Primary tasks of this position include: management of 6 greenhouses, seeding, harvesting (winter and summer), watering, integration with field crew, greenhouse maintenance and supply inventory. FIELD CREW LEADER (FT)

This is a full season position March through November. Potentially, this can be a year round position. The ideal candidate should be positive, hardworking, organized, self-motivated, creative, and able to anticipate.

  • Preference will be given to candidates with organic/sustainable vegetable growing experience.
  • Career opportunity with year round employment potential.
  • Tractor skills are essential
  • Knowledge of all aspects of vegetable production
  • Experience with CSA’s, farm stands and farmers markets.
  • Good communication skills
  • Past work history of managing others.
  • Applicant will assist with all aspects of farming operation from seed to harvest, record keeping and some finances.

FARM STAND MANAGER

This is a great position for someone who is motivated, loves produce and enjoys working with the public. We are offering a base salary with a generous percentage of sales, for the right candidate. Responsibilities include; complete operation of stand, staffing 6 days a week, inventory management, attractive display, public education, advertising (daily postings, signage, weekly newsletter), and other farm activities.

Candidate will have good communication skills, ability to lift produce boxes (#40), sales experience, knowledge of social media, experience/knowledge of produce and vegetables. Position begins late May until mid October.

FARMSTAND WORKER (FT/PT)

This position reports to the Farmstand Manager and shares many of the following tasks. Responsibilities include; complete operation of stand, includes weekends, inventory management, attractive display, public education, advertising (daily postings, signage, weekly newsletter), and other farm activities.

Candidate will have good communication skills, ability to lift produce boxes (#40), sales experience, knowledge of social media, experience/knowledge of produce and vegetables. Position begins late June until mid October. Compensation is based on an hourly rate.

PACKHOUSE (FT)

This is a great position for someone who is very organized, enjoys a fast-pace environment, and has an interest in the distribution of Organic Vegetables. Responsibilities include, washing, sorting and packing fresh produce. Oversight of wholesale orders, packing CSA boxes, and setting up for Farmers Markets.  Activities will also include some field work, seeding, watering, greenhouse maintenance and farm stand coverage.

Candidate will have good communication skills, ability to lift produce boxes (#40), meticulous organization, and, experience/knowledge of produce and vegetables. Position begins May and potentially into January.

DELIVERY DRIVER (PT)-FILLED

Must have valid and clean license. Delivery days are Tuesday and Friday. Employee will assist with packing and loading of product. Participate in pack-house activities to insure timely deliveries. Have knowledge of region and receiving docks. Able to lift #50 boxes and  physically healthy. Knowledge of produce varieties is helpful. Experience with pallet jacks and hand trucks essential. Position is part-time but additional days can be included with Pack-House responsibilities.

FARMERS MARKET ASSISTANT (PT)

This position can be either full time with other responsibilities or part time, to include Friday evenings and Saturdays. Employee will assist in the preparation, packing and loading for farmers markets. Must be able to lift #50 boxes and use a hand truck. Responsibilities include; help in loading and unloading truck, set-up at market, assisting with customers, replenishing product, maintaining display, some sales. Good math skills helpful. Desire to learn. Position is ideal for part time summer work or student. Position is Part Time, but can be expanded to full time with other positions.
